And if you are sick, you will be fine.

 The verse "وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ" translates to:

"And when I am ill, it is He (Allah) who cures me."

(Qur'an, Surah Ash-Shu'ara, 26:80)

Context:

This verse is part of Prophet Ibrahim's (Abraham, peace be upon him) supplication, where he reflects on Allah’s blessings and acknowledges His absolute power and mercy. In this specific verse, he expresses his reliance on Allah for healing during times of illness.

Key Points of Tafsir (Interpretation):

1. Acknowledging Allah's Power: The verse highlights that ultimate healing comes from Allah alone. While medical treatments and remedies are means, the actual cure is by Allah’s command.

2. Humility of Prophet Ibrahim: Prophet Ibrahim attributes illness to himself ("when I fall ill") and healing to Allah, demonstrating a believer’s humility in acknowledging personal weakness and Allah's greatness.

3. Reliance on Allah: It emphasizes complete trust in Allah during difficulties, particularly sickness. A believer should recognize that all solutions lie with Allah.

4. Using Available Means: The verse also implies that believers should use the means of treatment provided by Allah (like medicine or doctors) while keeping their ultimate trust in Him for recovery.

Lessons for Us:

Trust in Allah: During illness or hardship, one should turn to Allah with complete faith that He alone can grant recovery.

Patience in Trials: Illness is a test and a means of drawing closer to Allah through prayer and reliance.

Gratitude for Health: This verse reminds us to be thankful for our health and seek Allah's help when it is compromised.

Balanced Approach: While relying on Allah, we are encouraged to use the resources He has provided (e.g., medical treatment) as part of seeking a cure.

Practical Takeaway:

This verse teaches us to keep hope and faith in Allah during times of sickness or difficulty. It also encourages believers to combine spiritual supplication with practical efforts, trusting that true healing and relief come only from Allah.
