Isaac (peace be upon him)

 Prophet Ishaq (Isaac, peace be upon him) is one of the esteemed prophets of Allah mentioned in both the Qur'an and the Sunnah. He was the son of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham, peace be upon him) and the father of Prophet Yaqub (Jacob, peace be upon him). His lineage is closely tied to the prophets of Bani Israel (the Children of Israel).


Introduction to Prophet Ishaq (AS):


1. The Glad Tidings of His Birth:

Prophet Ishaq (AS) was born as a result of a divine promise. Angels delivered the good news of his birth to Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his wife Sarah in their old age.


> "And We gave her good tidings of Ishaq and after Ishaq, Yaqub."

(Surah Hud, 11:71)





2. A Chosen Servant of Allah:

Prophet Ishaq (AS) is described as one of Allah’s righteous and chosen servants.


> "And We gave him Ishaq and Yaqub as a gift, and We made all [of them] righteous."

(Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:72)





3. Bestowed with Prophethood:

Allah granted Prophet Ishaq (AS) the honor of prophethood and made him a guide for his people.


> "And We gave to him Ishaq and Yaqub and conferred prophethood and the Scripture upon his descendants."

(Surah Al-Ankabut, 29:27)

1. A Prophet of Glad Tidings:

His birth and prophethood were both announced as a divine blessing and glad tidings.



2. Patience and Gratitude:

Prophet Ishaq (AS) exemplified patience and gratitude throughout his life.



3. Lineage of Prophethood:

Many prophets, including Yaqub (AS) and his descendants, came from Prophet Ishaq's lineage, making him a cornerstone of the prophetic heritage.




Lessons from His Life:


Prophet Ishaq (AS) teaches us the importance of trusting Allah’s promises, practicing patience, and remaining grateful under all circumstances. His life is a reminder that Allah fulfills His promises to His righteous servants, even when situations seem improbable or challenging.
